Confessing Sin - A Key to Success

The saying goes..."Confessing is good for the soul". There is a lot of truth in that. If
you've ever been in that situation where you really repent of your sin failure, you
know that something happens in the spiritual realm. That's my personal experience.
Here is what the bible has to say about confessing our sins.

He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them
will have mercy. Proverbs 28:13 (NKJV)

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in
whose spirit there is no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long. For day and night Your hand was
heavy upon me; My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah I
acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, "I
will confess my transgressions to the LORD, ' And You forgave the iniquity
of my sin. Selah For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You
In a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters They
shall not come near him. Psalms 32:1-6 (NKJV)

Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your loving kindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my
transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me
from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always
before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your
sight--That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when
You judge. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.
Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to
know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter
than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O

For it is written: "As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue
shall confess to God." So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
Romans 14:11-12 (NKJV)

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes,
which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life--the life
was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life
which was with the Father and was manifested to us--that which we have seen and heard we
declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the
Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be
full. Fellowship with Him and One Another. This is the message which we have heard from
Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him,
and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have
fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have
no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:1-9 (NKJV)

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent
prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16 (NKJV)
