Success Or Failure Of Faith

Faith is an important element in the Christian life. Having faith is important. Even
more important is what do you put your faith in. It's the difference between success
and failure. Faith = Trust. What do you put your trust in? There is only one thing
that is worth putting your trust in...and that is Jesus. The rest will surely disappoint
you. Let's see what the bible has to say.

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if
you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from
here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Matt 17:20 (NKJV)

Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful
things. Romans 14:1 (NKJV)

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is
love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives
in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted
and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what
is the width and length and depth and height--to know the love of Christ which passes
knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19 (NKJV)

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up
in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with
thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome
the world--our faith.

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can
faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says
to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which
are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works,
is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without
your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You
do well. Even the demons believe and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that
faith without works is dead? James 2:14-20 (NKJV)
