If you watch television, you can see hate be played out every night. One political party against another, one nation against another. As a Christian, what is the right to successfully deal with that subject? I also see some people say that people, especially Christians should be more inclusive and are full of hatred for gays for example. The basic message of the bible is clear...love the sinner and hate the sin. So, there is no place for hatred of anyone, no matter how we disagree with someone's opinion or behavior.
Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins. Proverbs 10:12 (NKJV)
"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:43-45 (NKJV)
He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. 1 John 2:9-11 (NKJV)
If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21 (NKJV)
