The Importance Of Patience In Success And Failure

Have you ever hear of the saying Give me patience, and I want it right now! It sure
isn't easy to be patient. I've got myself in trouble many times trying to get ahead of
God. The result of course is usually failure. So I've learned the hard way to wait on
the lord. It's a smart thing to do...otherwise it's just a waste of time and effort.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers
in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from
anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret--it only causes harm. For evildoers shall
be cut off; But those who wait on the LORD, They shall inherit the earth.
Psalms 37:7-9 (NKJV)

He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his
spirit than he who takes a city. Proverbs 16:32 (NKJV)

By long forbearance a ruler is persuaded, And a gentle tongue breaks a

The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better
than the proud in spirit. Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade
itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is
not provoked, thinks no evil; 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (NKJV)

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces
perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Romans 5:3-4 (NKJV)

strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and
longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the
inheritance of the saints in the light. Colossians 1:11-12 (NKJV)

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of
endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: "For
yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by
faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him." Hebrews 10:35-38 (NKJV)

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your
faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and
complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4 (NKJV)

He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last
times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him
glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 1 Peter 1:20-21 (NKJV)

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn
from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy and My burden
