Succeeding In Self Control

Self Control has be part of your success strategy. It a crucial part of the Christian life
as well. Doing the right thing does not always come natural or easy. We must train
our bodies to be our slaves.

Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls.
Proverbs 25:28 (NKJV)

His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, And he is caught in the cords of his sin.
He shall die for lack of instruction, And in the greatness of his folly he shall
go astray. Proverbs 5:22-23 (NKJV)

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. "For whoever
desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will
find it. "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses
his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? "For the
Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then
He will reward each according to his works. Matthew 16:24-27 (NKJV)

So He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left
house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the
kingdom of God, "who shall not receive many times more in this present
time, and in the age to come eternal life." Luke 18:29-30 (NKJV)

knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done
away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. Romans 6:6 (NKJV)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Tim 1:7 (NKJV)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have
crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the
Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25 (NKJV)

"But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the
other to him also. "If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your
cloak also. "And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. "Give to him who asks
you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. Matthew 5:39-42 (NKJV)
