Shame when sinning is not a bad thing. After that comes asking for forgiveness and than healing. For any other reason there is no reason to be ashamed. Shame can also show up from experiences of the past that were not your fault. I want you to know that God can heal those areas of your life...just ask him. He is the ultimate healer of the broken hearted, the lost, the forgotten, the sick. What is amazing is that God can even use our brokenness and use it to help other people. Take your hurts to him, you will not be disappointed.
For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." Romans 10:11 (NKJV)

For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. 2 Tim 1:12 (NKJV)
As it is written: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." Romans 9:33 (NKJV)
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV)
Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. 1 Peter 4:16 (NKJV)
