

When the first people sinned in the garden of Eden, they became afraid and tried to
hide from God, in his love, sought them out and talked with them.
God told them that they would surely be punished because of their sin, but he also
brought them a message of hope: death and suffering and pain would not have the
last word in their lives. They would not have to live in despair! God promised that
someday a person would come to earth who would win a glorious victory over sin

Though they did not fully understand it at the time, the person God promised to send was Jesus Christ. Jesus was
the one who would bring forgiveness and peace. Jesus would restore lost mankind to fellowship with God!

1.) Who is Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.
And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a
voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am
well pleased." Luke 3:22 (NKJV)
The son is the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person,
and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself
purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

2.) Why did God send his Son into the world?
God sent Jesus into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV)
3.) How did Jesus come into our world?
Jesus was born as a human baby to a Jewish virgin named Mary.
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's
name was Mary. Luke 1:26-27 (NKJV)
"And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name

4.)Who was Jesus' father?
Jesus was conceived by God, the Holy Spirit.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:18 (NKJV)
5.) Did most of the world rejoice when Jesus was born?
No, Jesus was born in a small village under very humble circumstances.
So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her
firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them

6.)Why was he given the name Jesus?
Because the name Jesus means "Savior". Jesus came to save his people from their sins.
"And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."

7.) What did Jesus do while he was on earth?
Jesus went around the towns of Israel, teaching and preaching, healing the sick, casting out demons, forgiving sins,
and helping those who were in need.
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the
kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people Matthew 9:35 (NKJV)
And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, "You are the Christ, the Son of God!" And He, rebuking
them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ. Luke 4:41 (NKJV)

"The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor

8.) How did the people respond to the miracles and teachings of Jesus?
Most of the people were amazed, and many came to believe in him.
And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear
and the mute to speak." Mark 7:37 (NKJV)
Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the

9.) Did everyone who saw Jesus' miracles and heard him speak believe in him?
No, Jesus was rejected by the Jewish leaders who were jealous of him. They handed Jesus over to the Roman
governor to be put to death. When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against
Jesus to put Him to death.
And when they had bound Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor. Matthew 27:1-2

For he knew that they had handed Him over because of envy. Matthew 27:18 (NKJV)
10.) How did Jesus die?
Jesus was mocked and tortured by Roman soldiers and put to death on the cross outside the city of Jerusalem.
Then the soldiers led Him away into the hall called Praetorium, and they called together the whole garrison. And
they clothed Him with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and began to salute Him, "Hail,
King of the Jews!" Then they struck Him on the head with a reed and spat on Him; and bowing the knee, they
worshiped Him. And when they had mocked Him, they took the purple off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led

11.) Was Jesus crucified because he had done something wrong?
No, Jesus lived an absolutely perfect life.
Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one
another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the
word of God which lives and abides forever. 1 Peter 1:22-23 (NKJV)
12.) What happened to Jesus' body after he died?
Jesus' body was lovingly buried by a rich man named Joseph.
When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his new tomb which he had
hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed. Matthew 27:59-60

13.) Did Jesus' body stay in the grave?
No, after three days Jesus rose again.
"whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

14.) What did Jesus do after he rose from the grave?
For forty days he stayed on earth to prove to his followers that he was alive.
To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during
forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Acts 1:3 (NKJV)
15.) What happened after the forty days?
Jesus returned to heaven where he now rules over all things in heaven and n earth.

Jesus is praying for us and preparing a place for us.

No, someday he will return to earth again and will take us to himself.
