God doesn’t do things in a vacuum

One of life’s difficult experiences is to work for a boss who makes decisions in a vacuum. By that I mean that (s)he will make a decision without knowing all of the facts. Or, (s)he may put together a team to analyze all available data and recommend a course of action only to ignore the team and make the decision himself/herself – even while the team is still deliberating.

Another trait this type of boss tends to have is

The Lord Almighty…

The Lord AlmightyWhen I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? Psalm 8:1-4

Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor? Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding? Surely the nations are

The Real Meaning of Christmas

Over the years the real meaning of Christmas has lost it’s focus especially in Western societies.
The real meaning of Christmas is buried under a rumble of excessive drinking and eating and not least of all retail shopping. People will increase their credit cards and borrowing levels to purchase expensive gifts they cannot afford for love ones. Why? Parents feel pressured to buy the latest electronic gifts for their children because every parents are buying them for their children.

The Lord’s prayer-God is omniscient

IN Matthew 6:8, Jesus Christ informs us that before we think, ponder, and ask anything, God the Father KNOWS our needs. The idea of the Father knowing our needs before speaks of omniscience. The point is manipulating appearances, prayers, and giving in attempt to get God to answer or bless us would not work. Now let us approach the first part of prayer in Matthew 6:9.

The Lord’s Prayer-Introduction 2

The Lord’s Prayer is found in two books: Matthew and Luke. The prayer is singular, but the prayer was given in two contexts or settings. Let us focus on the first context in Matthew Chapter 6. Jesus Christ in previous chapter was sharing with the multitude and teaching them. Then, in chapter 6, He warns his audience about wrong attitudes, motives or ways of giving or praying. Since the focus on this series is prayer, Jesus

THE LORD’S PRAYER SERIES (Matthew 6:5-14; Luke 11:1-13)

Introduction (Matthew 6:5-7; Luke 11:1)

Prayer was essential and beneficial for Jesus Christ. Likewise, since we are representatives or ambassadors of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, prayer is vital, advantageous, and healthy for our bodies, spirit and soul. What is prayer? It has to do with communication and communion between an individual and God. Christians do affirm the premise that prayer is two-way street and not one directional communication.

What is two-way prayer communication? It

The Way…

The WayIn the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality. Proverbs 12:28

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Philip said, “Lord, show us

A son belongs to it forever

“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8: 31-32) Jesus is speaking to the Jews who believe Him that if you hold to my teachings you are my true disciples. The Lord says that if we obey His words we will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Every word is God’s word in the Bible if you read,

The Word of Life…

The Word of LifeThat which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life (Jesus) appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father (God) and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so
