You are God Alone

Lately, when coming into my Lord’s presence I have been struggling in my writing. Remembering, how easy it used to be I called to the Lord for answers. My answer came in the night while I slept the words were “alone with Christ”. At first I thought it was a song but I realized that Jesus wanted me alone. So, getting alone with the Lord I got a vision of a kite and I tried to get the string of this kite and I couldn’t. I jumped higher and higher and couldn’t get ahold of the string. The Lord showed me that my focus was on other things and not on God and that was why I couldn’t grasp the string. Once I realize what the problem was I asked the Lord to forgive me and I was able to grasp the string.

I was allowing the world (TV) to come into my home and dictate to me my worth; to preoccupy my time with wrong thinking that excluded my time with God. The wrong thinking prevents me from getting close to God and causes me to rebel against God’s order in my life. My reverence for God is gone and rebellion rules at all cost. I found myself zone into these programs like a zombie without a moral code; without a thought in my brain. How have I allow this to happen? I knew when my sister brought that TV to my house that it was a bad idea. My sister said “you won’t feel so lonely with the TV playing”. The Lord has been saying watch out what you hear and see. I will set before my eyes no vile thing.  (Psalm 101:3) The world wants to brain wash us into treating God with no reverence. They speak God’s name in vain constantly on TV and we allow them to come into our Christian homes with the same vile contempt for God. We have allowed it and we say that it is all right and we wonder why our children ‘do not want to go to church’ or ‘they are not listening to me’.

This week song that the Lord has been singing over me is “You are God alone” by Phillips, Craig, and Dean. The words that I keep singing are You are God alone| From before time began| You were on Your throne| You are God alone| And right now| In the good times and bad| You are on Your throne| You are God alone| [chorus] [bridge] Unchangeable| Unshakeable| Unstoppable| That’s what You are|ᶦ

Even though we fall and we struggle with this world’s sin God is faithful to us who call on His name. God is on his throne. He is in control of our coming and going. We are not alone. God remains the same; he never changes through the good times and bad. You are on your throne. Even though I fell with loving the world more than I should and I repented the Lord still loves me and cares for me. God is not the world where the world would throw us out like bad garbage. God promises He will not leave you or forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6) The Lord is not going to stop loving us or stop running after you…God’s unchangeable…unshakeable…unstoppable that’s what you areᶦ.

Are you struggling to hold on…has life send you a curve ball and you do not know what to do?

Call out to the Lord…he is big enough for your problems…when Elijah was afraid and Jezebel was killing Prophets… God gave Elijah confidence to go before Ahab army and 450 Baal prophets…God sent fire from heaven to show Ahab and the Baal prophets who was boss…

Is Jesus Christ on the throne in your life?

Have you made Christ your footstool or are you allowing Him to reign in your life? Your fruits should tell you where you stand with Jesus Christ. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Galatians 5:22-26)

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Jesus Christ sent the Holy Spirit to guide, teach, and comfort us through the good and bad times of our life. Is the Holy Spirit alive and flowing through you and convicting you when you go astray?  Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” (John 7:38)

“Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”3So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?” “John’s baptism,” they replied. 4Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” 5On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. (Acts 19:2-6)

Are you lacking the power and the conviction in your heart that sends you to the cross? Maybe you are lacking the Holy Spirit in your life. I receive the Holy Spirit through fasting, praying and surrendering my life to Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:13; 2:1-4) We can also grieve the Holy Spirit in the life we live outside of God’s word. (Ephesians 4:30) Repent and believe. Give your life to the Lord’s keeping for we are in evil times. Who knows what are days will bring and what end could be ours. Do not play at the gates of hell and think you will not be burned…

If you hear Jesus calling do not hardened your hearts but open the door and let him into your hearts.

Let Us Pray

“Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that without you in my heart my life is meaningless.

I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Please Jesus forgive me, for every sin… (Name each one to the Father) I have ever committed or done in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need you to be my Father and my friend.

I give you my life back and ask you to take full control from this moment on; I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.” Amen.

Thank You

Thank you, Father that you are faithful to your promise to never leave me or forsake me. Thank you, Father that you are on your throne, you alone is God; there is no one like you. Thank you, Lord that through the good and bad times you are on your throne in control of our coming and going.

I pray for your people who struggle with sin; convict their hearts to serve you only Lord. I pray that you will take their blinders off so that they can see how BIG you are. When calamity comes their way let them call on you the great I AM. May you come down on your chariot with thunder in the air to save your people who are called by your name? (Psalm 18) In Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen.
