My God is amazing

When I gazed into the multitude of stars I am always amazed at their brilliance even when the countless stars are so far away. God has instilled in me a wow factor that continues into my daily walk with Him. My God is amazing with his ever ending thoughtfulness.

Today is no different than any other day with the Lord He still amazes me. I have been spending many days at the lake this summer; in it and around it. The summer has been hot and I have no air conditioner only fans in my house. The Lord has given me opportunity after opportunity to take care of my sisters dogs on the lake. The Lord has been taking care of me so I can endure this heat. What a blessing the Lord has been this summer. His word in Philippians 4:19 says: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

There was a time when I thought my Father didn’t care about me and He didn’t see the trouble I was in. Sometimes we assume that the Lord is off doing God’s business and we are left on our own. The Lord gave me a vision several years ago. The Lord came to me in this vision and told me to walk with him. The walk took me straight up a mountain peak and I was trying to get hand and foot holds. Calling out to Jesus “where are we going?” there was no answer. I was trying to see Jesus up ahead and lost my balance and hurt my hand. Finding a cave up ahead ‘I thought of resting my hand’ but the Lord appeared and said “no time to rest we need to keep moving”. This time going up the mountain there was a light that lit a path straight up the mountain. Many hours later tired I began to sing I will not be afraid of the tens thousands of people who set themselves against me round about. Finally, I reached the top of the mountain and there right before me is this old lit lantern. Turning, I heard someone coming up behind me on this dark mountain path and it was Jesus. He was with me all this time and He took my injury hand in His and the pain was gone.

During those times that you can’t hear Him or sense his presence just know that your Father in heaven is right there with you fighting your battles and slaying your giants.

Jesus promises in his word:
•“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
•“Don’t be afraid of them, because the Lord your God himself will fight for you.” (Deuteronomy 3: 22)

Jesus also promised it wasn’t going to be easy that we would be tested. My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways. (James 1:2) The Lord is fine tuning us into that jewel that shines like the stars in the sky. Life just doesn’t come up roses when you want to follow Jesus. Sometimes life just gets complicated and throws you curve balls to where you have to really look for those “my God is amazing moments. If your life is a roller coaster ride embrace it and love it. Why? During this ride you will desperately need the Lord and He loves it when we need Him. You will begin a journey that will bring your relationship into a new awakening in the Holy Spirit that will blow your mind.

Lord Jesus, I pray for my brothers and sisters in the Lord that they will embrace your light. When they are tested let them cling to you and be molded to your image. During the hard times draw them close and let them see the showers of blessings that you have in store for them. I ask this in your precious name Lord Jesus.

Do you display Godly outward appearance?

Many worldly people give importance for outward appearance but inward they are cunning filled with hypocrisy. Some people Dress properly but their heart is evil and sinful. God is not so interested in what a person looks like outside but he looks what is their inside our heart but that doesn’t apply for justification of inappropriate clothes. Hos 4:6 says My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Many Such people who defends justification of inappropriate clothing obviously ignore some of the passages such as Matthew 5:16 where our Lord admonishes us, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father Which is in Heaven.”

Proverbs 7:10 shows us that there is such a thing as the “attire of an harlot.”

I Timothy 2:9 the Apostle Paul admonishes Timothy to exhort women to wear “modest apparel.In like manner also, that woman adorns themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety: not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array.

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.”

We must not only profess our faith and love for Christ but also need to practice such faith and love in our daily lives.

Just Our immodest clothing reveals our immoral attitude, wicked and hypocritical heart (Proverbs 7:10), so our decent, pure, appropriate modest clothing reveals our heart lying in a gentle and quiet spirit for this is precious to the sight of God (1 Peter 3:3-4).God looks for a heart who seeks God, who fears God, who will obey and follow his commandments by respecting him with trustful and submissive heart who truly devotes and serves God with all our heart, soul and mind. Jesus Christ is our role model and we need to follow the simplicity of lifestyle of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ doesn’t love outward glittering ornaments and expensive clothing with huge makeup’s rather he loves to come before him with our decent soberly modest cloth, in purity, holiness, and in godly attire.

16 Signs of false conversion in Christ Jesus!

1. A false conversion in Christ Jesus Will not seek God or thirst for God and do not have the fruits of the spirit and repentance.

2. A false conversion in Christ Jesus will gratify the desires of the sinful nature and repeatedly engage in sinful behavior.

JESUS Is Coming Back, BE READY!

Jesus Christ IS coming but No one knows the date or time of the Second Coming of Christ. It could be now, today or tomorrow, next month or next year, or any time unexpectedly but He is coming. When Jesus Christ comes the saints who are alive will be caught up to meet Him, those who have died in Christ shall rise first, there will be the complete salvation of saints, he is coming to judge all the people , to destroy sin and death and to punish the wicked and Satan. False accusers Reward evil instead of good!

Many innocent people are suffering in this world because of false accusation. There are many people in this world who unjustly falsely accuse others in order to hurt and ruin their reputation and to destroy that person’s life. Because of one simple false accusation one can destroy and damage someone’s good name and reputation in a matter of a few minutes. It is terrible and hurting when your own family members and friends accuse you falsely for your goodness. Proverbs 14:25 reminds us that A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is a traitor. Only the innocent person will be able to tell how it really hurts for someone to be paid back in an evil when that person has tried to be a good or done good things but has been repaid with evil or ingratitude for his kindness. There are so many Scriptures which warns us in this regard You shall not bear a false report; do not join your hand with a wicked man to be a malicious witness. Exodus 23:1 Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely. Luke 3:14 You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Deuteronomy 5:20 A truthful witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies. Proverbs 14:5 We must always remember that a false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free.Proverbs 19:5 May God bless all those who stand for truth and have suffered as result of false accusations!

Prayer for Job Offer!

Heavenly Father, I come before you in good faith repenting all my known and hidden sins .Please forgive me and cleanse me with the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. I cover myself and my entire life with the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Father as you know I have been searching for a job for a very long time now and I am depressed and stress out without a job. Please provide me a suitable job to my abilities, skills and experiences.

I ask you to bless me with a job that pays enough to support me, my wife, children and other expenses for living. Father you said “ask and you shall receive” I am asking for your help. Please provide the job offer letter this week from the company which I had been waiting from long time without any delay.

Every battle over my employment, cease in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Oh Lord, bring me into favour with all those that will decide on my employment. I command all evil records planted by the devil in anyone’s mind against my employment and job offer letter to be removed in the name of Jesus. Please remove all obstacles and hindrances against my employment offer in the precious name of Jesus and by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. I break the Curse of Joblessness, poverty, financial difficulties and every evil pronouncement said over me and my family members progress, and prosperity be cancelled by the blood of Jesus.

I reject and denounce every spirit of failure in the mighty name of Jesus .I bind every strongman delegated to hinder my job offer letter in the name of Jesus. Father I ask that you remove any stumbling block that is in the way of my employment offer.

I claim the honorable position and Power of success upon my life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

I call forth, the Name of Jesus, all of God’s plans and purposes for my life, and my family. Dear Lord and may your name be glorified in the works of my hands.

The love of Judas Iscariot!

We have come across many people in our lives who pretends to have love for us but in reality they don’t have, inwardly they hate us. Scriptures remind us that Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, Matt. 24:12.

We know from the scriptures that a true Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

The person with false love pretends to be nice in the presence of others. Judas was first numbered among the twelve apostles and was the son of a man named Simon (John 6:71, Lk.6:13, 22:3; Acts 1:16-17). We know from the Bible that Judas was the group treasurer and was the one entrusted with their money (John 12:6; 13:29). Judas betrayed Jesus into the hands of His accusers for thirty pieces of silver (Mark 14:10-11).The betrayal happened in the Garden of Gethsemane by using a sign of a kiss, Judas showed the authorities where Jesus was that night. Kiss of Judas is the False Love filled with empty professions, selfish, covetous, cunning, and inclined to hypocrisy and lying. Proverbs 27:6 says Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Judas is portrayed as Jesus closest friend, the one to whom our Lord confided all His deepest secrets. Judas has heard the preaching of Jesus but never repented and betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. The apostle John further portrays Judas Iscariot as “a devil” (John 6:70) and a “thief” (John 12:6), as one who was motivated and possessed by Satan (John 13:2, 27), and as “the son of perdition” (John 17:12). Judas was a traitor and betrayer because of his apparent greed and love for money. Judas Hypocritical false love pretends to be real and true pleases itself and conquered by evil. This kind of Hypocritical False love hurts people far more than it ever helps them and is more evil than open hatred. Genuine love rejoices in the truth and will keep holding on to what is right no matter what circumstances might arise and is totally committed to the welfare of the other.

Hypocritical false love says one thing and then acts another way and can provide false comfort ,false affection and a bad advice, as Job’s friends did, making his suffering worse and displeasing the Lord. Hypocritical false love can be pretending affection for their own motives, selfish desires they hide hatred with lying lips (Prov 10 :8) and deserting us when our friendship no longer benefits them (Psalm 55:12-14; Proverbs 19:4, 6-7).

God commands us to flee from evil. Ephesians 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Scripture Warnings:

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good (Romans 12:9). Hypocritical false love does not hate evil but it compromises the good for evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed; (Jn 3:20)

Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Romans 12:10

Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. ~1 Peter 3:8

We must not be like Judas Iscariot or Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was righteous.

Conclusion: Let’s not merely say that we love each other. Let us show the truth by our actions. Our actions will show that we belong to the truth.

Serving God for Financial profits!

There are many wicked men professing to be” men of God” these days who are con artists, selfish, deceivers, self-righteous, liars, obsessed for money. These people use our Lord Jesus Christ’s name, to con who are poor, meek, and needy in the name of serving God or serving the poor for their own greed and selfishness. They are only concerned in making money business to make their life and their loved ones better. They cheat people in the name of religion, in the name of churches exploit the name of Jesus to make money. These people beg money in the term of sowing financial seed to ministry or showing the slum children who live in poverty or in the form of donation. Too many churches have become nothing more than money making business centers.

These so called men of God are busy in accumulating wealth though their wicked tricks. Instead of fishing for men they cast their net and fish for material riches such as big cars, big homes, larger bank accounts, fame, wealth, prestige, money, power, authority, free travel around the world and an expensive lavish lifestyle. These preachers hardly know any poor and needy but their references are rich man who lives in luxurious. They know all the big and rich people of the city, instead of visiting the poor; they would rather visit the rich.

Scripture warnings about such people:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” —Matthew 7:15

“Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.” —Luke 20:47

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” -1st Timothy 6:10,11

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, and in your name have cast out devils, and in your name done many wonderful works? AND THEN WILL I PROFESS UNTO THEM, I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, YOU THAT WORK INIQUITY.” Matthew 7:22-23

True righteous person who walks on godly path will be poor, rejected, and suffers persecution for witnessing Christ and desiring to follow Godly ways. Bad things continually happen to them by these wicked ungodly people.

 ”Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.2 Timothy 3:12

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me” Luke 9:23.

These wicked men who pretend to be Godly men hate to preach about truth ,sins, immorality, against the evils things in the world, 10 commandments, condemnation or judgment but preaches about money ,makes promises of health, wealth, and prosperity if one sends money in the form of donation or by planting a financial seed in their ministry, or by buying something from them. These are the believers who are lured into worldly things, they live and enjoy sin on daily basis and encourages others to live the same.

1John 3:4- 9 says “whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

Fear Undressed!

The knowledge you have about the spiritual realm will help you hit the right opponent when you war for your physical and spiritual inheritance on earth. I must confess that this process is not the best of exercise but it’s worth the exercise, trust me. For you to deliver whatever you’ve conceived, for you to lay hold of your inheritance on earth, it takes rascality and rascality intimidates “fear”.

(Matthew 11:12 – And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force).

The extent you want to go in life, believe me,  is how far the enemy is DETERMINED to discourage and distract you, even,  wage war against you by introducing his most powerful weapon, FEAR! If I’m to define fear from my own perspective, it’s a mirage! Mirage, (simply put), is an appearance that seems real but it’s unreal. When you travel on a very sunny day by road,  look as far as your eyes can take you, you’ll notice that the road looks very wet (calling for extreme caution as you approach that scene), but you’ll  find out that the road isn’t wet, even when you could have sworn  on the appearance you’d seen. That’s how fear works. The enemy – devil has a way of magnifying people’s problems, making them seem different and bigger than they are, and the moment you fall for his tactics, you struggle through like a non swimmer who finds himself in an ocean. The best way to fight fear is to stand up to it, face your fears and you’ll see that beneath fear’s garment is a non-existing image. David was anointed as a king 20 years before he ascended the throne, why? Even though God knew how well he tended to the flocks of sheep and prevented them from been attacked by wilder animals, God wanted to prepare him even better to stand up to fear and so He made David stand up to “his” Goliath, the Philistine army, who had put the people of Israel in fear, the man who would have prevented David from ascending the throne if he hadn’t been brought to nothing by David. (Read, 1 Samuel 17).

David faced his mountain to move to the next level because it was at the instance of standing up to Goliath that he was announced. David refused to live in fear like everyone in Israel, David hated that the people of Israel were in fear and he knew that someone had to stand up to that fear to conquer it. God could have taken care of Goliath for David; instead, he equipped David to fight Goliath. David looked fear in the face and said “I KNOW YOU ARE NON-EXISTENT, TODAY, I WILL EXPOSE YOU”. 2 Timothy 1:7 – For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. The Spirit God placed in you and I is not of fear, but of POWER (not weak, not timid, not of cowardice), and it takes the activation of that Spirit for you to see it produce results. The issue of fear has robbed great men and women of the possessions, it has prevented many from taking giant steps that would have brought about radical change, like David. Let this mind be in you; Everything you fear, everything you fear in an ungodly manner is a foothold for the enemy to penetrate into your life and he’ll not stop manipulating and destroying you until he’s finished with you – ask* Job in the Bible. Job 3:25 – What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me. The source of fear- the enemy, knows what you fear the most and what you dread, he then throws arrows at you using those things you fear knowing that they’ll get to you because you’re seen as weak in that aspect and whenever you’re weak, the devil gains entrance through your weakness. I want you to realize who you are in Christ Jesus, the authority you have been given as a child of God (1 John 4:4), and the Spirit that is at work in you; exercise authority over your fears and rebuke the enemy, the enemy loses his grip over whatever area he’s dominated and flees. There may be oppositions in your life today – strongholds of the wicked, threats from men, household oppositions, oppositions from friends, threats and oppositions from rulers and authorities in high places, fear of passing your exams, fear of advancement in life, fear of the unknown, etc; and you’re completely hopeless and weak thinking you’re all alone, no you’re not for ONE WITH GOD IS MAJORITY. It doesn’t matter how many they are, it doesn’t matter how strong they may seem, just say to yourself, I HAVE MORE ARMIES, I HAVE STRONGER ARMIES, I AM NOT ALONE!

For you to attain any level in life, spiritually and physically, the truth is, you have to face the Goliath in every level and the only reason you cannot advance to the next level is fear, fear of defeat, fear of failure, fear of disappointment, etc. THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE THE BATTLE TO FIGHT  ISN’T GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU BUT MAKING DECISIONS TO STAND AND FIGHT THE BATTLES THAT WILL BRING YOU TOTAL FREEDOM…………

Family Protection Prayer!

Do not be afraid of sudden terror Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught. Prov. 3:25-26

Lord, I cover myself and everyone around me with the blood of Jesus. Father, I plead the blood of Jesus upon my family members, spouse, children, friends near and dear ones. I cover our home, our vehicle, my husband job, our finances, our marriage, our health, our entire life with the blood of Jesus. Lord JESUS, I cover myself and my family with the Blood of JESUS and ask for holy angels to be placed around us as a hedge of protection.

Please protect me and my family wherever we are and wherever we go. Protect us from all sickness and diseases , from all harm ,from accidents and breakdowns, from the power of darkness, from all evil spirits and evil men ,from all sins and temptations, from all the attacks of Satan ,from all types of curses that have been spoken over me and my loved ones ,from every demonic spirit, and every spiritual wickedness , from the spirit of fear, anxiety, depression, oppression, weariness, doubt, stress, bitterness, jealousy, unforgiveness, failure and poverty and from all calamities and natural disasters. Keep us and our belongings safe from thieves and robbers .

May all my family members stand united in Christ Jesus when we face any kind of trials and troubles together.

Every evil pronouncement said over me and my family member’s progress, and prosperity be cancelled by the blood of Jesus. May the grace of the Holy Spirit sanctify everyone in our family and May God’s blessing descend abundantly upon our house and upon all who dwell in it. Blood of Jesus, remove poverty out of my life, in the Name of Jesus.

I now plead the Blood of Jesus Christ against any demons who may try to come against me. I now Plead the Blood of Jesus against any bad and evil people who may try to come against me.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I now have full faith and belief that the Blood of Jesus will now protect me against all of the things that I have just Pled His Blood on.

Father, I thank You for the provision of deliverance through the blood of Jesus. Satan, the blood of Jesus is against you and you have no authority over my life or on my family members.No weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper. In the Name of Jesus Christ I hold the Blood of Jesus Christ against satan and all the wicked and evil people who are trying to harm or cause trouble in anything,in any way , in any form to me and to my family members and I resist and silence them. In the name of Jesus Christ and through his Blood I come against all the people who are trying to cheat us, con us ,rob us,deceive us both spiritually, and financially and I bind them not to come against me or my family members. By the power of the precious blood of Jesus may I and my husband and daughter be delivered, from the hands of the wicked, from the grasp of evil and cruel men. I now claim total and complete protection for my life and my family through the blood of Jesus Christ. I call forth, the Name of Jesus, all of God’s plans and purposes for my life, and my family.

sky meets the earth a miracle happens

                                                

           When the sky meets the earth a miracle happens and man says its science. The eyes of the unseen have not the sight to see that no big bang could ever achieve such greatness. If they were given the eyes to see they would see with a newness of spirit the brilliance of this creation. They wouldn’t be concern with the environment, instead focus their eyes on the creator who made it and will keep renewing it.        

            We are all concern for our future and not on our relationship with our Lord. We have become self-absorb with our needs that we stop focusing on our path to freedom. We forgot that all roads lead to Christ. 

            I have been rereading Matthew 15:1-20 it’s not about washing your hands that make you unclean but what comes out of your mouth from your heart that makes you unclean.  I knew that I had unclean thoughts and I was closed off not just from the Lord but from others. My angry, sickness, and depression were outward signs that not all was well. It is time to stop the deception and ask for forgiveness. 

            I am sorry Lord that I have been consumed with me and my issues that I removed myself from everything around me. I have kept my issues close to me and not giving them to you.  I have walled up my heart so I couldn’t be hurt by anyone, Lord. I was keeping my distance because I was angry with you. I give you my heart that you will take from it the dark places that makes me stumble. In the place of the dark places put peace, joy, perseverance, long suffering, and love.  Encompass about me songs of deliverance that will permeate everything around me like a cocoon of safety that I may grow in your likeness until the day you come. 

            We cannot run far enough away from our Father’s love for us. The signs of HIS love are all around us from the big bright sun to the delicate tiny fingers of a new born baby His love permeates everything around us. 

            We are the Lord’s one small miracle after another. You were created to be loved by the Father. There is nothing you have done that the Lord won’t chase after you like HE did for me. 

            One thing I have learned through my journey is HE NEVER gives up on me.

HOPELESSNESS

“to love and be loved is to feel the son from both sides” 1

            The dawn has come and gone and I am still in bed not wanting to get up. I would like to snuggle down into the covers and lose myself to that wonderful dream. He is so handsome and he took my hand and he said “Hey beautiful where have you been hiding yourself?” Good question. Why am I hiding myself? Life sucks! Why am I such a disappointment? I can’t erase my past but I can’t seem to move on. Why? Why am I doing this to myself? Can’t I just walk away and get on with my life?

            I feel helpless, tired, and lacking energy to pick myself up and look to the future. I need to find a peak that will give me new heights and insights. But, with my luck I would get lost on the way up. Who can I find to help me on the path to discovering new insights and channel this depression somewhere else? I can’t find it in the self help books or in my friends; and caffeinated drinks are not working anymore. They say it takes more muscles to frown than to smile. So, why am I not smiling all the time? I think that I stretch the muscles in my smile so now they naturally sag in that down position.

            I keep on thinking and dreaming that I need to go to the gym. A good work out will lift me out of this depression but I think I have been kidnapped and someone chained me to my bed. I feel with all this dreaming I have actually lost weight, I am sure of it. Ever time I venture to the bathroom and look in the mirror it looks like my face is leaner. But, I realized today that my hair is really matted down and that is why I look scrawny.

            I decided today I was going to get out of bed. I have lost all feeling in my backside and I’m not that depressed anymore. Why? I do not remember what brought me here in the first place.      

            Is this you? I know this has been me so many times I lost count. I had forgotten the reason I gotten up every morning and every day after. It was like I had hit my head on the toilet seat too many times. Or was it that I was chasing my own rainbow and I wanted to do it my way.

            I do not know about you but my way sucks! My way never works and that is when we start blaming others for our stupid mistakes. It’s like a revolving door and the circle of abuse that we dump on ourselves and others. Never ending!

            This time around the mountain was different I realized something for the first time it hit me hard. I was suddenly overwhelmed with the realization that God was pursuing me.

            I started unfolding different experiences, writings, songs, books, people, and fortune cookies.

I love to eat fortune cookies as well as to read one of the paper fortunes that come with the cookie. I was sifting through my wallet when I came upon one small, precious piece of paper. Turning it over it reads “to love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides”. 1 

            What does that mean to you? Do you love something and does that someone loves you back? Can you feel the sun God’s son love on you?

            I know for a long time that I’d loved a ‘something’. I wrote a poem about a horse that I love. That horse represents an idol that I held dear to my heart. That horse couldn’t love me back and one day I gave that horse up and I went after that person that my heart was seeking. 

            I thought my heart was seeking a man relationship but that wasn’t filling me. That relationship was empty and lonely. I was constantly empty and I needed filling up all the time. I wasn’t satisfied within that relationship because I was missing the most important ingredient. A relationship can only work if God is the center of your life. Jesus Christ died on the cross to give me a new name, new life in Him. When I left my Father’s side to do my own thing I got lost like the parable of the lost sheep in the Bible.

Matthew 18:10-14

10“See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

12“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? 13And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. 14In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.

            The Lord will pursue you like the lost lamb in the parable. In big things like a friend sharing with you or in a one small, precious piece of paper that will remind you “to love and be loved is to feel the son from both sides”. 1

Overdose

Intro:

Many may think that the word overdose refers to drugs. And they’re right. But God has been pounding my heart with something really new to me, He’s bothered me so much that I had no idea why He kept reminding me of this, specially since I never did drugs. I was wondering if God was trying to do something, and not surprisingly, He was indeed.

The Vision:

Through prayer and a vision, I was shown a series of images, where people we’re hurt, alcohol everywhere, pills, needles, blood, and suffering. The look on their faces we’re the expression of a lost wanderer in pain. Not physical, but emotional pain, the look of deception and sorrow was all over their faces. I wanted to help, but their pain was self inflicted. I didn’t know what these images came to me for, so I decided to take it to the scriptures and see where it took me. And the answer was very clear.

 

“Sinful people are happy for only a while. They love the taste of sin; they relish every bite and swallow it slowly. But their food will turn sour and poison their stomachs.” Job 20: 5, 12, 13, 14

“Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.” Proverbs 20:1.

“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” Ephesians 5:18

I was not surprised with the scriptures. But these verses related sin in general and wine, it didn’t really mention drugs. So i went back to the scriptures. I found out that the Bible does not directly address any form of illicit drug use. Why? Because there no new age drugs in those times.

Drugs are not in the Bible, so am I free to do drugs?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! The bible clearly states that we need to be sober and alert against the devil (1 Corinthians 15:34) and that we should deny our ungodliness and wordly lusts (Titus 2:12, 1 Thesalonians 5:8). In order to live by God’s rules, we must deny our fleshly desires (Romans 8:12) and present our bodies as living sacrifices to Christ (Romans 12:1-2).

We’re also taught to follow governing authorities (Romans 13:1-2, NASB version) and that those who resist them have opposed the ordinance of God and will receive condemnation. Anyone using illegal drugs would be braking both authorities and God’s rules.

So what is this “overdose” you keep talking about?

Instead of wasting our time destroying our lives with alcohol, drugs, and addictions that will cause us nothing but harm, why dont we overdose in Christ! If you have never been full of the Holy Spirit then you are missing out on something beyond amazing. Christ is the ultimate high, and we should all get our daily fixes on him. He’s addictive, once you get a taste of what its like to be on his presence, you’ll always want more.

What God does for me, He can do for you.. Be his vessel, allow him to work through you. Don’t turn to addictions for relief, or turn to God saying “God, I have a big problem.” Instead, turn to the problem and say, “Problem, I have a BIG God!” Rebuke the works of the devil in your life, there is rest in Christ, so put your troubles on him and rest assured that He will come through. As a woman, i can honestly say that God is like a bra, He always supports you and never leaves you hanging.

God is the rock, the king, the true foundation, our salvation (Psalms 62:6, 2 Timothy 2:19). So why would anyone want to set their trusts on something that is not solid? All things on Heaven and Earth will pass away, but God’s word is the only thing that will stay strong (Mathew 24:35). So if everything that we have and rely on will pass away, why don’t we set our trust on the only thing that wont? Jesus is the only way.

The bible says that we’re destroyed for lack of understanding (Hosea 4:6), we must seek Jesus so that we can understand and be blessed. And if at some point of your life you thought that Jesus didn’t care about you, that is a lie of the devil, the father of all lies (John 8:44), because 1 Peter 5:7 says that He cares for us affectionally and watchfully.

Wrap up:

Sin’s pay off is death and God’s gift is eternal life, so dedicate yourself to Christ and you will be sanctified by His spirit and rewarded with eternal life (Romans 6:22-23). Put aside ungodly things, love and Christ, get your ultimate high on Him. Make him that daily fix that you’ll go through all extents to get. God is raising up an army of a generation on fire for Him, ready to overdose on him. Lay your burdens on Him and overdose on Jesus because He’s the only drug that can give you an eternal high!

Thirsty

          “a ribbon of road was my companion”

     I walked on this road hoped to see someone, though nothing but, a ribbon of road was my companion. I was thirsty and hungry. My throat was so dry that I picked up a pebble and toss it into my mouth. Let this pebble whet my thirst. Let me draw out every last drop of moisture.  Am I going to die here, die among the creatures of the air and this dirt road? I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn’t see the bird of prey approach me.

     “Caw, caw!” screech a buzzard. My hands reached up to protect my head at the same time I swallowed my last hope, I thought.

     My hand went to my throat, and I gasped for air as I swallowed that pebble. I gazed around at the vast emptiness. That bird of prey was waiting for me to die.

     “What are you looking at? I am not dead yet. I might look like death, but I am not.”  I tried not to lose hope in the One who gives me breath.

     I was drawn away from the path to a high plateau in the mountains where as a child I would escape to have lunch with Abba. I would bring bake chicken, potato salad and for dessert we would have chocolate cake. I would have His total attention. Today, I looked off into a time when I wrestled with disenchantment, pain, being alone and I admit to the hate I felt towards my Abba.

     Look at me! Who would want me? I am without child and have lost my youth. I want to disappear like Alice in Wonderland into a hole; into a new world to save me from my shame. You say to me, Lord, “I do not know you.”

     How absurd! I spoke back to Abba, “What do you mean that you do not know me? Did I not serve you during my year of discovery? I learned to search the scriptures to find the hidden truths that you lead me too. Have you forgotten the mission you sent me on and the ones that gave their lives to you?” What does this mean? Have I been walking this path by myself? I pondered.

     I found myself back on the road, the hard ground under my feet. The weight of my burden was heavier on my shoulders. My walk stopped. Looking skyward I was trying to comprehend what this all meant. How did I lose my way? When did I get off the path? Maybe I have never been on the right path that leads to Abba. I have been lost? Please help me. At that moment I knelt down on the hard, dry ground and my dry parched throat prayed a simple prayer, “please, forgive me Abba for going my own way. Teach me your ways. I want to learn from you.”

     I remembered a song from the old book. Searching my mind I remember bits of it that says, “I trust in thee, O Lord; I say thou art my God; my times are in thy hands.”  Concentrate. I closed my eyes, and I was back reliving my past.

      You swooped in like an angel lifting me up off the rough road and sustaining me in your arms; fighting my battles with the serpents that surrounded me on both sides.

     At times it was hard to hear your voice, the dark one sounds like you. I hit the pavement with a thump! The dark one would taunt me calling me the old names that someone supposedly dear to me had call me; I struggle with my Father’s love and I would get disconcerted, disillusion and throw it in your face. You taught me that I could trust you again and lean on you. You brought me new comrades and new hope. You showed me in little tests that I can trust you again.

     And so, I started to trust God in little ways by getting counseling. I truly grappled with my faith. Does he truly love me? Finally, I was able to make changes in my life. I made more new friends and started to go to church regularly, making a contribution by leading a single’s group.

     Many tests later, I came to my biggest challenge of all. I lost everything: my home, my car, even my precious possessions. God again said, “Trust me.” When I thought of those two words trust me, they reminded me of the humiliation, pain, and guilt. And I cringed and I am reminded of my lowest moment in the hands of him. Dark memories from a time long gone but it feels like yesterday with the smell of burning flesh.

     I suddenly realized that the landscape has changed and I am very parched and sunburn. My long lost friend we meet again. “Trust me.” How can I trust you when I am losing my car? My car has been my freedom, freedom from my mistakes: marriage, unwanted singleness, shame, guilt, and you. I see. I have been running away from you…

     How did I get here, again on the road of despair? We sometimes make strange bedfellows. I lived many years in abuse and heard from the man I loved that I was stupid, dumb, and idiotic so many times. He said he didn’t want children with me because they might be like me. And so, I became numb, slow to feel good emotions. It is so very hard to trust.

     When I meet people who remind me of my ex-husband, a war breaks out in my head. I become consume with memories and distressed that can punch me down and leave me silent. I work for such a person and was trying to make my escape and in doing so lost my only income. I haven’t been able to get another job and my every moment is consumed with having my boss tell me, “MaryAnn you’re too old for the industry and no one will hire you.” I hear the voice of my ex-husband telling me, “When you look for a job, make sure you don’t have to write, communicate, or drive because you can’t do any of those things.” STOP!! The Lord has made me a promise: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)   And, then “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck and write them on the tablet of your heart.”(Proverbs 3:3) Be truthful to yourself MaryAnn. “Love shall never leave you or forsake you.”(Hebrews 13:5)   “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”(Proverbs 3:5-6)   Out of the dirty muck I cleaned off the shame and guilt off my feet. I walk with sure footedness up the path of forgiveness and grace. I know I have stumble, but life is challenging it is not painless.

     The air is cleaner up on the plateau overlooking that hard road I have been traveling. I have traveled this road constantly when I let go of my father’s hand. I believed a lie. I believed that I was worthless and that who could love me. I found that was a lie from that vulture of prey that hunts the souls of the lost children of God.

     So if you find yourself on this hard road of life and you are thirsty for love. My Father, Jesus Christ his arms are always open wide for the losted, hurted, and confused just turn around HE has been waiting for you to notice HIM. HE is standing with open arms to embrace, kiss, and offer you a home with HIM. Ask HIM in and you will never be alone.

Lessons learned on a hard road when one is so thirsty that they are driven to change:  

     1.  Give up your control of your life to God and watch Him turn your life around.

     2.  Do not let go of His hand. Focus on the word. Jesus says “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6) We are the ones who leave His side when we sin. He promised to never leave us. When we come to the Father he forgives us for our past, present, and future sins. We go into hiding when we are running away and Jesus is right there with us. All we need to do is turn around; His arms are open wide ready and waiting for you.

     3.  Set up boundaries that are attainable. Just because you are stronger doesn’t mean that you can date someone who reminds you of your ex; this is a time to flee, run.

     4.  Read your Bible every day, memorizes scriptures, and pray; the Lord wants a relationship with you. Watch what you say do not let Satan in by the words you proclaim “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14)  

     5.  If you lost everything today. Would you love the Lord more than your reputation? Give Him your pain and struggles. Let Him into your situations do not hide them from Him. HE knows all and it pains Him to see you in so much pain. Sometimes, we just get in the way of what He wants to do in our life.

     6.  Only let us live up to what we have already attained. (Philippians  3:16) If the Lord shows you something do not let someone come in and tell you different. Those special bonds you have with the Lord do not let someone come and tear you two apart.

     7.  Watch what you say do not let Satan in by the words you proclaim. “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”  (Psalm 19:14)
