Power of the Risen Christ

~ And I’ve see miracles just happen, silent prayers get answered, and broken hearts become brand new. That’s what faith can do…¹

Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. (Hebrews 11:1)

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (James 2:17)

This is what I know of faith:

  • The Father wooed me into his life and I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead step out in faith and grasp his hand.
  • The Holy Spirit revealed my sins and I step out in faith and embrace my pain and gave the sins back.
  • Jesus Christ peeled away the layers upon layers that was protecting me and pierced my heart. I step out in faith and ran into my Father’s arms and accepted His love for me.
  • The Lord said “pick up your cross and follow me” and I accepted and step out in faith and follow him. Matthew 10:38
  • Jesus Christ said, “Watch with me Mary”. In faith I accepted and I pray for church family, friends, love ones, associates, and whoever the Lord puts on my heart. Matthew 26:38
  • The Holy Spirit said, “Write”. Lord, I can’t write. Holy Spirit said, “No you can’t but I can. Trust me. Believe.” In faith I struggle to desperately cling to my Father’s hand and walk out the ministry He has for me.
  • Jesus Christ says, “Go deeper”. I came to the end of myself and in faith surrender my control of my life and Jesus Christ was there to catch me.

Faith is all about taking steps in Jesus Christ’s direction so that He can fill you, love you, train and guide you into victory; so He can use you. He is training you to hear His voice only so that you can abide in Him. Jesus’s life on earth is one of abiding in the Father and Jesus did wonderful miracles in the name of the Father. Now Jesus Christ wants us to follow His example and do healings in Jesus Christ name. (Matthew 21:18-22) Jesus Christ has risen from the dead! Jesus Christ is Alive! We need to live the risen Christ life.

Some of us are still living like Jesus Christ was defeated. I know what that looks like I have been there many times; it’s frustrating. I see a counselor and I was telling her “when I am struggling to write I am tempted to get up and eat or play solitaire and she said “what are you feeling?”

“I am feeling overwhelmed and afraid.” She said you need to acknowledge the fear and then give it to God. So, when I sat down to my computer to write I had a sudden urge to eat or play solitaire. I acknowledge what I am feeling Lord I am scare and I need your help, I want victory in my life Lord! Forgive me for the sin of fear, please take this from me. We need to learn to run to the throne when we are tempted by Satan. Once we do this action of faith to run to the Father it will become natural to do it again and again.

But he told me: “My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I will brag even more about my weaknesses in order that Christ’s power will live in me. (2Corinthians 12:9)

To live the power of the risen Christ is to live by faith. Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. (Hebrews 13:7)

Jesus Christ fed 5,000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. (John 6:5-14)

Be encouraged that others have walked this path of faith and were victorious.

The Lord said to Joshua “I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses… 5No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. 9 Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:3, 5, 9)

You say “that was for Joshua that not for me”… The Lord says in his word, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

What was for Joshua is for you and me these Bible heroes are for us to imitate and grow strong in the image of our Father, Jesus Christ. These stories are here to encourage and strengthen us that this life is attainable in Christ Jesus. Through Jesus Christ we have the power of the risen Christ in us to live a victorious life in Him. (2 Chronicles 13:18)

I was once caught up with the struggles of this life and miss out on the power of the risen Christ. Now, after working through the difficulties with the help of the Holy Spirit, Pastors, and counselors I see the power of the Holy Spirit all around me. I opened myself up to new experiences like: sharing the gospel after church with others, praying for church members, pastors, friends, family, people who read my blog, christen singers, and public officials, and now starting another ministry.  Drawing my strength through the living risen Christ has brought new purposes that stop me from going back to my old life that was disheartening.

The Lord is calling you to a life with Him. Life that will not be boring and new adventures around ever bend in the road. To sign up you have to give a legions to Jesus Christ. He expects total devotion from you. You will have to give up your life and pick up your cross to follow Him. Repent and believe on Jesus Christ…

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think its more than you can take
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do¹

Faith is reaching out your hand and grasping an unseen God who will never let you go.

Thank you for the many believers and unbelievers who seek to walk to the cross to give their full devotion. Who will throw off the chains of darkness and embrace the light of your love. May this love permeate everything that is not you Jesus and that they will repent and receive the Holy Spirit in them. Thank you Lord, that we shall reign in you and live a life worthy of a child of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. In Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen.
