Jesus rolled His eyes

Being a parent I find myself repeating things over and over, seems sometimes my children don’t listen, don’t remember, or just don’t get it. about the third time I find myself rolling my eyes.

I Have been reading the book of John and wonder if Jesus ever rolled his eyes. He was fully man, right? & even though the bible may not translate it, I would think from time to tome Jesus was like “really? I’m pretty sure I told you this like 5 times”..so maybe, John 14:5(a) Jesus rolled His eyes. or, John 6:52 (a) Jesus let out a deep sigh and muttered “really” under his breath.

I’m not to be excluded from this, it seems I need to be reminded of what Jesus taught or how I should apply it. maybe it’s just me, but sometimes, after I loose my temper, or make a wrong decision, or dwell too much on crap, one word in my head tends to make me redirect…”Really?”

What Was Your Birthday Gift to Jesus?

I have a question for you.  When was the last time that you went to a birthday party and all of the guests opened up gifts that was given to them by everybody else while the person whose birthday is being celebrated sat there and watched, receiving nothing?

What if the person was you?  What if it was your birthday, a whole bunch of people came over to help you celebrate, and then exchanged gifts with each other ignoring you?

This realization hit me this year a couple of weeks before Christmas.  Here we are year after year running around frantically weeks before Christmas buying presents for others, setting up Christmas parties, decorating, visiting relatives, going on vacation, baking cookies, being nicer to each other, etc.

On Christmas morning, the children wake up, squeal in delight, and race to open presents.  The parents and maybe other relatives look on smiling joyfully as the children open their gifts that were purchased for them.  Wrappings are flown around, the toys are played with, the Christmas feast is prepared for heating later that day.

But what is missing here?  What about the person whose birthday is being celebrated?  What did he receive?

Oh sure you may have gone to church, sang Christmas carols, read Luke 2, even served a meal at the homeless shelter.

But what did he received?  Yes, this is a hard question and one I had to realistically face.  So this year I challenged my family, and myself by asking all of us to give Jesus a present.  I have children ranging in ages from four years old to 11.  How does the child “give” something to Jesus?  What do we give?

“Ask him,” I said.  When you want to give a gift to someone do you not ask or get an idea of what the person wants?  I told my family it could be anything.  The physical something, something that is done, or whatever they believed is what Jesus would want.

Now, I really do not know how this will play out.  How do you give something to the one who created everything?  I did  not have an answer, so I prayed and asked him.  Immediately a gift idea popped in my head.

“Wow, you want that.” I thought upon the answer.  At that moment I realized that what he wanted was never mine in the first place but I considered it as such all of these years.  So without too much hesitation, I started figuring out how that would work in reality of everyday living, and purposed it in my brain that is what I would give Jesus as a birthday present.

And that is what I did on Christmas Day.  Now, I know you want to know what it is.  As I told my children when the idea was first presented, their gift is personal and may remain between them and Jesus if that is their choice.  This is a yearly tradition that I would like them to choose to do, not simply an act because that is what Daddy is expecting of them.

However, if there are enough comments on this article down below, I will tell you what I gave Jesus for his birthday.  Not to show off, but for instruction.

The last I heard, my six year old daughter wanted to be a godly girl for her birthday present.  Wow.  The other children and my wife?  I do not know.  I will bring it up in conversation one more time and then let it go.  The same as I’m doing here with you.

It is not too late to give a gift, you know.  I am sure that you have been to a belated birthday party at least one time in your life.  This could be one.  Not sure what to give?  Ask him.

Share with us below what you have given, or want to give, Jesus to celebrate his birth.

Jesus’ Purpose: To Save His People From Their Sins (Part 2) – Matthew 1:21

She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21)

The word “saved” implies danger. There is no need to be saved if there is nothing to be saved from. The Jews in the first century wanted deliverance. They wanted to be saved from a secular government, but many did not realize that they first needed to be rescued from something else. They needed to be saved from their sins.

At His first coming, Jesus did not come to rule, but to die. He came to save His people from their sin. The supreme irony was that He came not only to save Jewish people, but also the Gentiles. The wicked heathen people whom the Jews had separated themselves from would be saved by the Messiah! Praise God for His great and wide grace!

Doubtless, Joesph might have confined the words spoken by the angel, “His people,” to include only the Jews. But these words contain a much wider scope of people, these words include the redeemed people of all ages. They include both Jews and Gentiles. They include Enoch and Noah. They include Melchizedek, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They include Moses, Ruth, David, Esther, and all the rest of the redeemed, both in the past and those yet to be born. All of these people are saved by God, saved from their sin, and granted that which they do not deserve.

Jesus came to save His people from their sins! He came to save His people from that which they rightly deserved! The final penalty for sin is eternal damnation. Hell. The wrath of God. But Christ bore His people’s punishment on the cross; He bore the wrath of God in order to make salvation possible!

After the angel of the Lord had finished his explanation concerning the purpose of the Messiah, Joesph’s dream was complete. When Joseph woke up, he obediently acted according to the words of the angel and took Mary as his wife.

Jesus’ Purpose: To Save His People From Their Sins (Part 1) – Matthew 1:21

The virgin birth, in and of itself, was a great miracle, but the child to be born would bring about even greater miracles. In the past few verses, Matthew has mainly focused on Mary and Joseph. The emphasis has been on Mary’s unique pregnancy, but now the emphasis shifts to the infant who is soon to be born:

She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21)

In a dream, the angel of the Lord told Joseph concerning his wife, “She will bear a Son”. This event would certainly come to pass. Nothing could be done to stop or prevent Mary’s pregnancy. What Joseph may have wished to happen did not matter, for if God deems that something will happen, it will happen.

The angel of the Lord commanded Joseph, “And you shall call His name Jesus”. Jesus means Saviour. He is the Anointed One— the Messiah. Through His life, Jesus would bring about dramatic change, but not the change which many had expected. At His first coming, Jesus did not disturb the world order. He didn’t overthrow the Roman government and restore governing power to Israel. He didn’t launch an assault against the Gentiles, nor did He make Himself the ruling king of the known world. In short, Jesus did not lead an army so that He could reign over the earth.

At His second coming, Jesus will reign over the earth (the book of Revelation describes the bloody scene leading up to Jesus’ reign). However, if Jesus had not come for a different purpose the first time, then no man would be able to dwell in His kingdom. God is perfect in holiness; He requires man to have a perfect record. All men have fallen incredibly short of this standard of perfection. Not even the animal sacrifices offered up to God in the Old Testament times were enough to blot out man’s innumerable sins. For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. (Hebrews 10:4)

Jesus did something of infinite greatness at His first coming. No words can fully describe this supreme act of sovereign love. Jesus told His disciples, “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) That is what Jesus did: He laid down His life— He died. But death did not hold Him, He defeated the grave! He rose again! He did what only God can do, He saved His people from their sins.

The real reason for the season

Remember the reason for the season

The world has so changed Christmas. They have it as just a day of celebration. Sure, some might know generally what it means. But, they don’t realize the true meaning. And, it’s not just what the song say, “The giving of love every day.” Although that is a start.

Ttrue love is unconditional. It doesn’t matter what you do, God loves you. A person who has not received Christ’s forgiveness has chosen to go his or her own way. Isaiah 53: 6 says, “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned each one to his own way. And the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

This is the time of year when we should celebrate the fact that God gave that love to us. He did so by giving Jesus to us. And, Jesus being God the Son, it also means that God came for us. He gave of Himself.

See, it’s all about giving, but not the way the world thinks. The world tries to get you to spend money to buy things for others. But, we give things because it’s symbolic of what God gave us. We don’t have to give gifts at Christmas. We could give gifts anytime. If you give gifts, that’s fine. Romans 14 teaches that we shouldn’t judge someone because they choose to celebrate a certain day, as long as they are honoring God. But don’t let that draw you into the world’s view of Christmas. Remember to keep Jesus first.

Second, quite a few families – especially with children – remember the meaning by singing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus. That’s great; especially if you make a cake since you can eat it. Seriously, though, it’s great to remember Jesus’ birthday. But, while we’re on the subject of giving, birthdays are another time when we give gifts, right?

So, what are you giving Jesus?

We can give Him our time, our commitment, our love, our devotion. We can give Him praise and glory through how we treat others and tell others about Him. We can give Him so much. So, my second reminder to you is, as you remember the true meaning of Christmas – that Jesus came to die for our sins and rise from the dead – don’t just say “Happy birthday” and forget about Him. Give Him a gift that keeps on giving.

Finally, to tie these 2 thoughts together, remember how great that gift is that God gave.

People can give great things. I have a great uncle who remembers the Great Depression. His dad, my great grandfather, was going to lose the family’s home, which he’d built about 7 years earlier. He tells the story of how Pop went to see a great aunt who was quite rich for that time. She gave them the money to save their house, and then some left over. My great uncle says they felt like they were rich.

That was a great gift their Aunt Kate gave. Except for organ/bone marrow donations, it’s probably among the greatest gifts a person can give. Still, it is nothing when compared to the fact Jesus came to become sin for us. (2 Cor. 5: 21) He came to save us from the penalty of hell, which each of us deserves because of our sin. However, those of us who have trusted in Him to save us are not under that penalty anymore. We are passed from death unto life. (John 5:24, 1 John 3:14)

Think about that. Even someone who donates an organ, or bone marrow, can only give someone a normal healthy life span at best. (And that isn’t always a guarantee.) But, God’s gift to us makes sure that all who receive it have everlasting life in God’s perfect heaven, and relationship with Him on earth.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son. That whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3: 16)

Think of the certainty that gives. That last part – Jesus Himself guarantees that that believer will have everlasting life. But, later we read that those who do not believe (that is, heart knowledge, not just head knowledge) will not see life.

Thus, we must make it our goal to tell others. And, to show Christ’s love to others through our actions as well as our words.

“The giving of love every day,” as the song says? Only because Christ’s followers are to be known by their love. We must show Christ, and tell others about Him, in this lost and dying world.

The Messenger of God…

Isaiah 40:3 (written around 800 years before Jesus was born) A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the LORD Almighty.  Malachi 3:1 (written around 400 years before the birth of Jesus)

Mark 1:1-4 … The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way”  “a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’”And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

(Jesus said) Truly I tell you, among those born of women (human beings) there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; (he is the greatest man that ever lived)  Matthew 11:11a

AMEN!!!

Introduction of Light to darkness

Have you ever observed what happens when you are in a dark place and the light suddenly comes up? There is a psychological response we have inside us which suggests clarity, peace, understanding and a strange sense of security. This is because in darkness, we don’t see what goes on around us, neither do we know how safe we are depending on where we are. We are usually clueless as to what to do in darkness, little wonder it is synonymous with lack of clarity or understanding of a situation which invariably implies a lack of solution to the situation.

As explained in my previous post, Jesus was the word which was the power responsible for creation. Let me explain this further:
The word in this case which the book of john reveals was in the begining, and was also God (in the first five verses of the book of john), is the third form of the trinity along with God the father, and God the holy spirit. If you remember, john said in 1jn 5:7 that there are three that bear record in heaven. The father, the Word, and the Holy ghost. Hence the one, among these three which was needed at the time of creation was the WORD.

You may ask “how exactly was the word used in creation?”. Well, i’ll take you back to the begining of the world, in Genesis when the earth was without form, and void, and God’s spirit moved over the earth. If you observed the activities from Gen. 1:3 you would observe that after God’s analysis of the situation (darkness and lack of clarity), he concluded, he needed only one word so as to be able to begin the creation process which could not be done in darkness, and what was the word that needed to be spoken?

“Let there be light”

This is the Word that was needed for creation to begin, and later verses show exactly how creation was achieved as soon as light was introduced to the prevailing darkness at the time.
This suggests that the word needed to overcome any dark situation, in whichever way it may manifest itself, is “Let there be light” which happens to describe the person of Jesus in four words. Yes! Jesus is the light of the world, and he has said it countless times. It was He, the light, the Word that brought clarity in creation, and will bring about clarity and light in any situation he is summoned to. Think of it this way; Any unpalatable situation or uncomfortable situation in ones life represents darkness over the surface of the earth, and Jesus (God’s Word), represents light to bring about a positive change in the situation.

How then can we get this light?
The first step to getting the light is getting Jesus into your life. Thereafter, you get more of him (God’s Word) which comes in the form of the bible, and generally any writing, or speech that is inspired of God. With this, you observe that rather than look at situations as a problem, you see the need to exercise your creative power as a child of God, the master Creator. This is called divine insight, and can only be gotten by introducing Jesus (the light) to any problem (darkness).

Why Should I Be Thankful?

It is remarkable that we have the chance to communicate with people everywhere, thanks to modern technology. Our phones can now do anything, it seems, and people in the remotest places can access the Internet.

However, with all the problems we can have, it is easy to wonder what we can be thankful for. There is so much doom and gloom around us. So many things tear us down. The economy might be awful where you live. There is suffering everywhere.

And yet, we can still give thanks.

Sometimes it is for something little. A cousin, at age 5 or so, once asked – as we went around the table – if she could be thankful for something silly first. When told she could, she said, “I’m thankful our house has more bathrooms than Grandma and Grandpa’s.” When you’ve got to go, even that can be something good.

Of course, even if you have to use an outhouse, you can still be thankful you can physically go. There is an old saying – “I was sad because I had no shoes, till I saw a man with no feet.”

And, thus her silly saying is the lead-in to something so positive. God can use little things to start great things. From the mouths of babes sometimes come gems.

That is something to be thankful for, that there are those little moments, those fun times, to remember. This world is too filled with hatred and selfishness. But, the Bible tells us to focus on what is good. Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

There is still loveliness, goodness, etc.. There is also beauty. It might not look like it outside if your November is as dull and dreary as some get in North America. However, there is still beauty. Just look at the good, and don’t think about the bad. The snow can still be pretty when you go to shovel it. You can still bask in the knowledge that God has produced such intricate detail in each snowflake.

In other words, stop and smell the roses. Think of the thornbushes as having roses on them. Because in ever bad thing, God can make good come out of it. Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

That car stopping you in traffic might be preventing you from going ahead to where you could be in a serious accident. Or, a serious accident in one place might keep you from getting killed in another place.

Back to the better things, though. Some people can recall so many happy times. However, even if you don’t have good memories, or you are feeling loss that leaves giant hole in your heart, God can give you something positive to build on.

Jesus says in John 10:10, “The thief [that is, the devil] cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” He wants that for you.

We all have God-sized holes in our hearts that only Jesus Christ can fill. Why?

The devil is truly a thief, as Jesus – God in flesh (John 1:1, 14, 10:30, Col. 2:9) – notes in that verse. See, the devil was an angel of light (Ezekiel 28:13, 2 Cor. 11:14), but was untested.

He was good, just like the world. But, the devil rebelled, and tried to be like God through selfishness. (Ezek. 28:13-19, Isaiah 14:12-14). He forces people to do things, instead of lovingly giving them choice like God does.

See, evil, is just an absence of good. And, all that goodness left the devil. Just like if a light goes out, it has no more light. There is no physical “dark” that takes its place.

So, God made this world perfect. But, the devil tempted Adam and Eve to sin. He stole from them by tempting them to disobey God. When they willfully disobeyed God, they were no longer perfect. Sin came into the world, and death by sin. Death spread everywhere. (Romans 5:12) All creation groans because of that sin. (Romans 8:22) All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Rom. 3:23)

God loves each of us, though. So, He made a way that we could be forgiven for our sin. We inherited that sin nature. We can’t communicate with God, can’t be reconciled to Him, by our own good works. If we could keep the whole law and yet offend once, we’d still be guilty. (James 2:10) Many try of their own good works, but as we can see, that’s not possible. It must be by grace. God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.

So, God reconciled Himself to us. It was while we were yet sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8); we don’t have to do anything to earn it ourselves. We can’t, in fact. It’s a free gift. (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, etc.) When He died, he was punished in our place for our sin. (1 Peter 2:24, 2 Cor. 5:21, etc.) We were saved by the shedding of His perfect blood – and we are reconciled by His life, as He rose from the dead! (romans 5:10, each gospel account, etc.)

That is something to be thankful for, but we can’t be thankful for it unless we have it, can we? If you have a big gift in your house for your birthday, even if you know wht it is, if you don’t open it you can’t use it, right? You haven’t claimed it.

If you have nothing else, you can be thankful for salvation. If you have never claimed that gift, you can do it right now. You are only a single, sincere prayer of repentance to Jesus Christ away from eternal life. Repentance just means agreeing with God that your sins keep you from heaven, and you deserve eternal punishment for them. But, you know Jesus Christ, God in flesh, died for your sins and rose from the dead. And, you choose to call out to Him by faith to save you, and receive Him as your savior.

The fact God has done this, that all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13) is something to be thankful for, and to go out and tell others about. It’s wonderful that someday, God will take believers away from this mess of a world to His perfect Heaven, where there’s no pain, no suffering, no tears. Nobody can do anything bad in heaven, because there is no sin.

But, we are here on earth to save sinners from that lost and dying world. God must do the saving, but we must do our part. We do it by praying that God will work in hearts as they are told the Good News. And, then, we go out and tell people they are loved, that there is a redeemer for their sins. They can fill those holes in their hearts with Jesus Christ, instead of with the sin of this world.

It’s something we get to do. God Himself lets us be part of His plan. What a privilege! So, let’s do it. And they will know the true Christians by their love. (John 13:34-35)

It may require humbling yourself to someone you’ve wronged, but you can tell everyone. What a great Thanksgiving message. Even just by passing this message on to others.

Do your words dishonor God, the Bible, the Holy Spirit and our Lord Jesus Christ?

The Third Commandment warns, “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” (Exodus 20:7).

We see many Christians including entertainment industry, Movies ,TV shows make fun of Gods name in May ways. Many of them will silently listen to them or laugh at them. There are other types of hypocrite Christians who curse God or take Gods name in vain when they are angry or in joy or in pain. We should open our mouths to praise God and leading others to obey the Lord through faith in Jesus Christ not to use to speak profanity ( Ephesians 4:29).

What Scriptures say:

Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Psalms 74:18 Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.

Isaiah 52:5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.

Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

1 Timothy 6:1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

Matthew 12:31-32 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

1 Timothy 1:20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Leviticus 24:16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.

Mat. 12:36-37″But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Matthew 5:34-36 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black

Do we Love God Above all things?

People seek love in many places. When we love someone we have so many feelings and emotions for that person. When we fall in love we feel loved, happy, valued, accepted, honored, wanted and protected and we want this person to be in our life all the time and we will reach to the point that we can not live without them. We think of them all the time and we trust them to share our feelings. This person becomes our entire world and we long and desire to be with them. We love them with all our heart, soul and mind. The said love could be for our parents, spouses, family members, children, neighbors, friends, pets etc. but we have a hard time in loving God truly. God gives us everything we need, and gave us many things and abilities for us to love him.

Even though we say that we Love God our Lord Jesus Christ still we have hard time in loving him truly and we have diverted our mind and love on ourselves ,money, amusements, food and drink, clothes , TV, movies, sports and other types of entertainments. We are constantly distracted from God and busy in running  after worldly and material things. Is this a true love for our God?

If we truly love our God Jesus Christ we would love to spend unlimited time with Him in prayer, and Delighting in God’s Word and receive new revelations about Him, Communicating with God in Prayer by making confession, intercession, supplication and thanks giving .We will Trust His Word and allowing him to guide us into righteousness. God has an unfailing love, he is compassionate, kind and forgiving with us .His everlasting love endures forever he created us and lay down his life for us. His love is manifested by His mercy, grace, pity, patience, loving kindness, goodness, truth, forgiveness, and justice. Jesus Christ demonstrated true love when as God- He humbled himself and became a man on earth to restore our relationship with the God who created us, God made us to be loved perfectly by him, to be respected and treasured by him, his love is infinite. The more we spend time in his presence, the more we understand his love for us .But we often seek this love in other people to get our needs met, this causes us to feel unsatisfied ,unfulfilled ,frustrated and inadequate to meet the needs and are disappointed or hurt at some point.

In Deuteronomy 6:5 and Matthew 22:37-38 God has commanded to love God above everything, above everyone and even above more than our own family members. “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength”.

When we love our God Jesus Christ we constantly think of God in our mind and heart we have the opportunity to grow in him depending on him for everything and he becomes our source to meet all of our needs, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. He comforts us, cares for us, appreciates us, he gives us peace through the Holy Spirit. God has spoken to people many times throughout the Scriptures by various means. He also speaks to us through others, through direct revelation, dreams, written words, prophets, circumstances, angels, nature, through impressions, events, thoughts and through the Holy Spirit.

When we are walking in God’s love, following His commands, His joy is manifest in our heart and He responds to us .We need to desire Him with our whole heart, hunger and thirst for Him and His righteousness. The Bible promises that if we seek God, he will come to us. God wants to be in our lives but we must be willing to turn away from the things that are not from God. God gives eternal life for the person who believes in Jesus Christ to lead a holy life and it’s a Gods gift. Eternal life is God’s kind of life. It is life that comes from God. (John 3:16, John 5:39, Romans 2:7)

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me’” (John 14:6).

Psalm 14:2  says that “Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if any one is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.
What a MARVELOUS to experience the love of our Lord Jesus Christ and to fall in love with him!Nothing  in this life can substitute Gods Love!

What to do when we have a disagreement with other believers?

Satan wants the followers of Christ to disobey and have conflicts and confusions  in Gods word and commandments. There is only one truth in the Bible, but many divisions in the body of Christ. Most of the Christian denominations in the world claim that they are bible believing Church and have differences of opinions on various issues, some of them may even throw us into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ(Galatians 1:6-7). But yet most of them agree on basic Christian truths. God says that we need to be equipped with wisdom from the Word of God to identify and not be led astray by false teaching and false teachers. All believers should know what the Scriptures are and they need to match up according to Gods word when they have some disagreements.

God also warns us to avoid people who causes divisions and put obstacles in our way that are contrary to the teaching (Romans 16:17).

Scriptures gives us a valuable insight and clear guidance on how we are to approach such disagreements and conflicts.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 says For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don’t get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:1-3

As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. Ephesians 4:14-16

The Apostle Paul told Timothy, “Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels” (2 Timothy 2:23)

Titus 3:9 says, “But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.”

Also being a true believer we need to preach the truth, fighting the good fight of faith never compromisingly for any reason whatsoever and to bring back the erring brother. James 5:19-20 says My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

When we have disagreements we need to handle with love and respect and apply God’s unchanging Word of Truth and to allow holy spirit to operate in our lives to seek Gods word by diligently studying and prayfully considered because as a individual person we all may have personal opinion but we need to be careful that our disagreements should not become a stumbling block for others to leading them away from faith in Christ or turn away from the Bible. Always we need to be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks the reason for the hope that we have with gentleness and respect(1 Peter 3:15).

Finally, it is God’s purpose for all believers’s to attain to the unity of the faith with unity of the Spirit United in Christ. (Ephesians 4:3 says, “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.)

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!.

Why Do Some Preachers Scream, Yell, Shout at the Top of Their Lungs?

We are to preach the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Christ commanded that true worshipers worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). We are commanded by the Lord to receive teaching and admonish each other with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God making music in our heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Eph. 5:19-20.

Jesus taught profound truths in simple ways. Isaiah 42:2 says He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. Jesus spoke primarily to people’s minds and not to their emotions. God can hear our thoughts just as easily as He can hear our words (Psalm 139:23; Jeremiah 12:3).His preaching challenged people and convicted them and stirred them to faith and obedience. He nor his disciples never whipped up their emotions the way many preachers do nowadays crying at the top of their extreme voices, Clapping, jumping, shouting, running, uncontrollable Laughing , loud and noisy music continual “Amen’s” and “Praise the Lord with dramatic speaking rhythm that stir up emotions and excitement. Isaiah 33:19 says “you will see those arrogant people no more, those people of an obscure speech, with their strange, incomprehensible tongue”. They tend to focus perhaps too much on feelings and personal experiences rather than the bible. They are not true spiritual but motivate people by means of emotional excitement very similar to what attracts people to sports and games , rock concerts,Hollywood etc. They have a form of Godliness(2 Timothy 3:5 ). True Preaching is emotional restraint and self-control, not acting wild and crazy. Gods word says in Ezekiel 8:18 “Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen to them.” The music of an unconverted, rebellious heart is to God an irritating noise. Because of their disobedience, God said to the children of Israel, “Take away from me the noise of your songs” (Am 5:23). What pleases God is neither the volume of the music nor volume of the tone but the condition of the heart. The “loud noise” in Bible times was not loud enough to harm people physically, leading others away from Christ instead of to Him.

“And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard” (Ezek26:13). Believers who live in peace with God have a

Constant song in their hearts, though the singing may not always be vocalized.

This is why the Psalmist says: “I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing

praise to my God as long as I live” (Ps 146:2; 104:33). Those Bible verses that speak about making “a joyful noise” or “a loud noise” unto the Lord do not teach us to praise God with excessive amplification of the human voice or musical instruments during the worship service. God defines music as melody not an entertainment, nor a talent show, nor a performance or a concert. It should be played skillfully without loosing control dedicated to please the Lord not the world where the listener should clearly understand the Gods message in it.

We need to sing with the spirit and understanding. (1 Cor. 14:15) and the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2.
The music should not sound like a mourning song. Here is what the scripture says in Ezra 3:13: No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping, because the people made so much noise. And the sound was heard far away.

I will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your singing into weeping. Amos 8:10.

Yes I agree that we need to shout praises to our Lord but not until you tare your throat off hurting oneself and hurting others with amplifiers, microphone & 1000Watt speakers driving people away and making them deaf instead of controlling ourselves, we are encouraged to have emotional outburst. The Holy Spirit can also make intercession to God the Father for us(Romans 8:26) and Jesus gives warning saying “When you are praying do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think they will be heard because of their many words.” (Matthew 6:7)

The worship of God does not always require words, sounds, or loud actions. Habakkuk 2:20 says “But the Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him,” Zephaniah 1:7: “Be silent before the Lord God!”, and Zechariah 2:13, “Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord. There are times to speak to God and there are times simply to behold and adore Him in silence not bursting with extreme screaming. Learning to keep silent for extended periods of time can help us control our tongue all the time. Proverbs 17:27-28 relates the Christ like qualities of Godly knowledge, understanding, and wisdom to the power to rein in words: In James 1:19 also indicates a relationship between learning silence and learning control of the tongue: “But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak. In silence we learn to rely more on God’s control in situations where we would normally feel compelled to speak, or to speak too much. People have been accused of not being spirit-filled because they do not raise their hands, sway, or clap their hands. While there may be nothing wrong with any of these things, they are evidences of emotion rather than evidences of the Spirit. People seek “a good time,” enjoying the mood and excitement. But excitement does not equal spirituality. For they loved the Praise of men more than the praise of God.” John 12:42-43. A true believer already understands that God’s presence is always with him (Psalm 139:7; Matthew 28:20; 1 Corinthians 6:19; 1 Thessalonians 4:8; 2 Timothy 1:14), and he doesn’t need to experience any type of physical sensation to prove it.

The Bible encourages us to: “Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Even the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:15 “… judge for yourselves what I say.” 1 John 4:1 exclaims, “Beloved, BELIEVE NOT every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. God is not the author of confusion. The Bible says to be SOBER minded. Scriptures teach that Jesus practiced silence. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23

Many people go to the church to listen and glorify their favorite Excited Preacher who is their performer not to plain word of God. The Pharisees were praying not to God, but to and for the people. Jesus so hated the Pharisees’ hypocritical pretense, pretending to be so righteous and right all the time, that in the most bitter denunciation He ever uttered against anyone, He publicly told them, “WOE unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you make clean the OUTSIDE of the cup and of the plate, but WITHIN you are full of EXTORTION and FILTHINESS! You BLIND PHARISEE, clean first that which is WITHIN the cup and the plate, then the outside of them may be clean also!

“WOE unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like WHITE-WASHED TOMBS, which indeed look BEAUTIFUL on the OUTSIDE, but on the INSIDE are full of DEAD MEN’S BONES and EVERYTHING UNCLEAN! In the same way, on the OUTSIDE you APPEAR to others as RIGHTEOUS, but on the INSIDE you are full of HYPOCRISY and INIQUITY!” (Matthew 23:25-28) .

We are told to love God with all our hearts and also with all our minds. Jesus never shouted while preaching (Matt.12:19). Nor did He say “Hallelujah” every now and then in His messages.

Some false preachers boast about anything capturing and holding the attention of the hearers for an extended period of time by teaching simple truths in profound ways replacing sound biblical teaching with emotion-driven response .Those whose words are directed not to God, but to their hearers. Jesus warned against such behavior in Matthew 6:5-8 where he exhorts us not to be showy, long-winded, or hypocritical in our prayers, but to pray secretly in our own rooms in order to avoid the temptation of using prayer hypocritically. False Preachers have come into the churches with their books, music, literature, movies, psychology, and seminars, and have turned the Father’s house into a den of thieves. There are some Preachers quit preaching against sins and some preachers themselves live in sin henceforth allowed sinners to stop feeling like sinners which allowed the sinner to continue to live in sin and justifying their sins hence they hardly repent for their sins.I am not here to condemn anyone but God’s Word condemns all of us (Romans 3:19-23)
