GOD, the WORD…

In the beginning (before time began) was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him (the Word) all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

The Word became flesh (a human being, Jesus) and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:1-3 & 14

Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. (God) The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. (when you look at Jesus, you are seeing God)  John 12:44-45

My sheep (believers throughout all generations) listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can
snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”  John 10:27-30

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  1 John 5:11

Thank you Jesus!!!

Planting God’s Seed…

Planting God's SeedThen I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” He said, “Go and tell this people “‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’  Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their yes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn and be healed.”  Isaiah 6:8-10

Jesus said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, “‘though seeing, they may not see though hearing, they may not understand. “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.  Luke 8:10-12

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”  Romans 10:14-15

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:23

Bring Glory to His Name…

Bring Glory to His NameWe have a strong city; (the Father’s house in Heaven) God makes salvation its walls and ramparts. Open the gates that the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith. You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.  Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.  Isaiah 26:1-4

Declare what is to be, present it—let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past?  Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me. “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.  Isaiah 45:21b-22

Jesus said, I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”  John 6:51

My Soul Finds Rest in God…

Rest in GodThe LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.  Psalm 23:1-3

Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. For you, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living (Heaven).  Psalm 116:7-9

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”  Revelation 21:3-4

Approaching God with Confidence…

Approaching GodFor there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.  1 Timothy 2:5-6a

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.  Hebrews 4:14-16

Because you are his sons, (and daughters) God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, (daddy) Father.” So you are no longer a slave (to sin), but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.  Galatians 4:6-8

(Jesus said) Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  Matthew 11:29

Quiet Your Heart…

Quite your heartSearch me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Psalm 139:23

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.  Psalm 139:7-10

God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”  Hebrews 13:5b

If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 1 John 3:20

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  Philippians 4:6

God’s Gift of Grace and Peace…

God's Gift of Grace and PeaceGrace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits (the Sevenfold Spirit – see Isaiah 11:1-3) before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn (most important) from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests (ambassadors) to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.  Revelation 1:4-6

Therefore, since we have been justified (made right with God through faith (believing God), we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. (like standing in the middle an ocean of grace) And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.  Romans 5:1-5

To HIM be the glory forever & ever!!!

Find Rest in God…

Find Rest In GodClap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. For the LORD Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth.  Psalm 47:1-2

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.  Truly he is my rock and my salvation;  he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.  Psalm 62:5-8

One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: “Power belongs to you, God, and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”  Psalm 62:11-12

Learn from Jesus, for there is Great reward for doing the work of the Lord!!!

Find Joy in the Lord…

Find the joy of the lordPaul writes, We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.  Colossians 1:9a-12

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:10-13

May the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful. Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him—his name is the LORD.  Psalm 68:3-4

Though you have not seen him, (Jesus) you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9

Walking with God…

Walking with GodConsider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future. Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

No temptation (or trial) has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.  1 Corinthians 10:13

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.  Ecclesiastes 3:11-13

Build your life on the Rock…

Build your life on the rockBecause God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, (believers) he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us (Eternal Life) may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. Hebrews 6:17-19a

Jesus said, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:24

For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:1-5

Believing God…

Believing GodAnyone can believe in God. How many of us believe God?

We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  1 John 5:9-11

Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.  Genesis 15:6

So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, (by your own self-righteousness) or by your believing what you heard? (the Gospel) So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.  Galatians 3:5-7

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.  John 20:30-31

God’s Will for All Mankind…

God's WillDo not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.  Romans 12:2

For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. (AMEN!) The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.  Romans 6:9-11

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: (set apart)  1 Thessalonians 4:3a

For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. 1 Peter 2:15

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.  1 Timothy 2:3-6a

FAITH: Believing what you don’t understand.

EarthNow faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.  By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.  Hebrews 11:1-3

Paul writes, For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile (everyone else). For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”  Romans 1:16-17

We see only a reflexion…

ReflectionsDear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.  All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.  1 John 3:2-3

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 1 Corinthians 13:12

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.  1 Peter 1:8-9

Someday we will see God face to face in all his glory!!!

I love my brothers & sisters in Christ.
