Peter writes … We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.  Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.  2 Peter 1:19-21

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. (believers from all time) I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”  Revelation 22:16

Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ (Psalm 118:22) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-12

(Isaiah was written around 800 years before Christ)

“See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy.  Isaiah 65:17-18

Revelation 21:1-5 … Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne (God) said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Now that is what HOPE is all about!!!

Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?  Isaiah 40:14

He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.  Psalm 147:4-5

Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.  Isaiah 40:15

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.  Psalm 103:8-12

Paul writes … I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Ephesians 1:18-19a

(His saints are all the believers throughout time)

Seed of Truth

I will listen to what God the LORD (Jesus) will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints— but let them not return to folly. Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that his glory may dwell in our land. Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other. Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven. The LORD will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest. (of believers)  Psalm 85:8-12

Sanctify them (set them apart) by the truth; your word is truth.  John 17:17

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; (all the time) correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.  2 Timothy 4:2

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.  Luke 12:32

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.  1 Peter 1:23

King Solomon writes, I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.  Ecclesiastes 3:10-12

Jesus says, Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.  Matthew 6:34

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Hebrews 12:2

“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, (Jesus, the Word) coming with the clouds of heaven.  He approached the Ancient of Days (the Father) and was led into his presence. He (Jesus) was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed”.  Daniel 7:13-14

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days (now) he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.  Hebrews 1:1-3

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. (according to the revealed truth in the Bible) Psalm 145:18

Do not withhold your mercy from me, O LORD; may your love and your truth always protect me.  Psalm 40:11

Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.  Hebrews 6:17-18

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

In him (Jesus) and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Ephesians 3:12 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

(Jesus said) For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (of your life) John 6:40  (that’s GRACE – getting what you don’t deserve)

Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:10-12  (That’s TRUSTWORTHY and TRUE)

In the beginning (before time began) was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him (the Word) all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  John 1:1-4

The Word became flesh (a human being-Jesus) and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14 

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”  Matthew 3:16-18
