How Lead Capture Pages Work.
As far as lead capture pages are concerned, I'm
testing both...driving traffic directly to the site - and
through lead capture pages.
Here are the pros and cons:
Pros - You're able to get everyone's contact info,
including their phone #. I've had great success
following up with people who went on my site the day or
two earlier. What I found was...a lot of people, when
they are looking for a business, are looking at many
options and they vaguely remember your site. The call
puts you to the top of the list again and I've made sales
I would have not made would I've not followed up. In
addition, you're constantly building your list. Since it
takes several impressions to make a sale, the
auto-responder will do much of the work for you. You'll
make sales months after someone has come to your
site.
Cons - I have a pretty good conversion rate, about
20% - 30% of people who come to my lead capture
page fill in the info and go on to my site. I've heard
that the average is about 3% - 6%. That means that
70% or more of the people who click on your initial ad
never go to your site....that's a lot. I don't know how
serious they are if they don't want to give their info, but
I assume that some of these people are good
prospects.
The bad part about not using a lead capture is, there
is no way of knowing what happen to these people. I
found a lot of people remember my site vaguely,
however, they don't remember the URL. So even if
they like you, they have a difficult time finding my site
again...that's why the lead-capture
page/auto-responder combo is so great.
This auto responder and lead capture system is great.
Here is some examples of the lead capture pages that
are included.
