
Prospecting:
To succeed in sales you must have leads. Lots and lots of leads. You actually need more leads than you know
what to do with. This allows you to keep each prospect you find in perspective (remember, you only want them
if they "qualify")
Ways to generate leads: Google, Yahoo, other search engines, permission based email blasts, co-ops,
magazines, print, radio, flyers, biz cards, cold calling in person, referrals – and buying lists of pre-surveyed
individuals open to a home business. These lists normally include the person's email address and their
telephone number. You can send an email or you can call the phone number they provided.
Importance of Mastering Telemarketing:
Phone follow ups close sales!
In most cases (like 99% of the time), even people who find your website and enter their contact info need to talk
with a real person before they are willing to hand over their hard earned cash. If you are not following up with a
phone call to your leads, your sales in any home business will double or triple your sales when you begin
doing so. Even if you stumble and flub some of the calls, prospects will at least know that there is a real person
behind this thing and be much more likely to seriously consider the home business. It can even make them
think – hey, if he or she can do this and make money from home, I can tear this thing up!
Becoming a “Master Sorter”!
As Jeffrey Combs says...you need to become a master sorter – find the quality people who truly are
interested in a home business and pursue them, while politely dismissing those from another galaxy. Let's be
honest, even leads we've all generated from Google have teenagers, pranksters and flakes sprinkled
throughout. Get through those fast and leave yourself more time for the good ones.
The importance of ring time!
"There's nothing like ring time!" (no pun intended) In the boxing world, we all "get" this phrase. Even an
average boxer is going to improve significantly if he spends enough time in the ring. The same is true for sales
people and telemarketing. Becoming comfortable talking with strangers on the phone, drawing out their
objections and overcoming them, builds your confidence and, most importantly, it keeps you sharp and ready
for great prospects (bold visionaries) when you find them. You can start with cheaper leads. I love 2 - 3 month
old leads.
Dealing with rejection!
For most people, telemarketing is scary to say
the least. You will definitely have to master your
response to rejection. When you think about the
fact that only 1 to 6 people in every 100 will buy
(in other words, the other 94 to 99 people will tell
you NOOO) it’s no wonder that we all wrestle with
rejection.
Getting excited about rejection!
As Anthony Costa explained yesterday on
the Wednesday training call, all you can
ever really control is your own effort…
your actions and work habits. You can
actually get to the point where you have
confidence regardless of the response
you get from people on the other end of
the line. You don't need any one person to say yes. If this person doesn't say "yes" the business,
someone else will. You can be excited about your future because you know you are taking
the steps necessary to succeed.
Here is a way to look at it when you call people that has helped me over the years.
In essence, you're making $8 per call whether the person hangs up, says no or yes. So next time a person is
rude or tells you that nobody makes money online...tell them - "Thanks for the $8!" It's really how you look at
it, don't you agree? You can also tell someone that asks you how you make money? How would you like to
make $8 per call no matter what someone says. Once you understand this, you can have a lot of fun calling
people. By the way, as you get better at this and close, let's say 6% or more, you can make $24 to $30 per
call...wow!!!
There are several ways you can use telemarketing:
1.) Buy the re-directed surveyed leads and start calling
Quality Online Media or Peak Impact
These are fresh leads of people who filled out a survey and showed interest in a business opportunity,
plus they've been re-directed to your site. You have everything from their e-mail address, Name,
Phone#, Date of birth, why they are looking, how much they would like to earn, how much they have to
invest. You should be able to get 2 – 6 people out of every 100 people on the list. It’s one of the most
inexpensive ways to advertise. I put these people in several categories:
2.) Follow up on people who visited your web-site through a lead capture page
This is my most effective way of use this far. I found some very interesting information when following up on
people who visited my web-site:
- They only vaguely remember my web-site.
- Some remember but have a hard time finding it again.
- Most people don’t understand the offer
- My site was one of 20 – 50 sites they looked at that day
If nothing else, your call will put your site to the top of the stack again. I also tell them to bookmark my site. It
also shows you the importance of the auto-responder. How effective is a phone follow-up? By adding
telemarketing, your conversions would triple.
3.) Follow up on people who opted into your website
This is a must. Even if you have an auto-responder sending them e-mails.

Make sure they have seen your site and listened to all videos and or audios. If they have not, set an
appointment with them to discuss the opportunity.
- What did you think of my site?
- Did you listen to all the audios? (if they have not, tell them to listen to all the audios and set up a
follow-up appointment) Ask them can you do it now...and tell them, you'll call them in 30 minutes.
- What did you like about it? (this is the reason why they want to be in the program)
- If you were a member and we showed you how to drive traffic to the website...what do you
think your prospects will say about the site?
- So, all you need to do is drive traffic to your home business site - and we'll show you how to do
that step by step...it's that simple

- When was your last vacation?
- When do you plan on taking your next vacation?
- Do you have some capitol set aside to start your home business?

of interest to you?
